Gate Posts:
The gates can be hung on wood, granite, stone, rock or brick pillars. Please see hardware page for further details.
Hanging the Gates:
The gates can be hung between the posts to allow one to enter and leave with ease. They can also be hung in front of the posts so that the gate can be swung back against the fence. The hinge set is the same for both installations.
Between the Posts:
As stated above, the gate will swing in and out of the paddock 180 degrees. The clearance for the hinge is four inches to allow for the swing of a three inch gate. The distance on the other side will depend upon which latch is being used and if it is a single or double gate installation. The distance can vary from one to four inches.
In Front of the Posts:
To hang this way, your gate(s) must be two inches wider than the distance between the posts. The gate(s) will overhang the posts by one inch. Now the gate can swing back to the fence 180 degrees.
